Betting Preview: 2/23/2022

Today we will be previewing two college basketball games.

Wake Forest @ Clemson

The 21-7 Demon Deacons will travel to take on the 12-15 Clemson tigers tonight in an ACC matchup. Wake Forest will look to extend Clemson’s woes, as the tigers are on a six game losing streak and 2-10 in their last twelve. Clemsons’s leading scorer, PJ Hall, Is questionable for tonight game after suffering a knee injury in the first minute of their last matchup against Louisville. They would go on to lose, 70-61. Wake Forest, avoided its first 3-game losing streak of the season, by defeating Notre Dame on Saturday, 79-74. The Deacons come into todays game ranked 27th in the nation in points per game (78.5). They also shoot 48.5% from the field, good for 14th nationally. This will be the only matchup between these two teams this regular season.

West Virginia @ Iowa State

The Cyclones, have put together their first two conference wins in a row in their last two games and will look to make it 3 in a row with West Virginia coming to Ames tonight. The Mountaineers are currently on a 4-game losing streak and dropped their last game to TCU, 77-67. Mountaineers coach Bob Huggins said after the loss that he would consider making some lineup changes for tonights game. Iowa State has had a great turnaround this season, currently ranked 35th overall in the NET rankings, after going 2-22 overall last season. Last time these two teams faced each other on February 8th, West Virginia was able to get a 79-63 home victory.
