Betting Previews: 3/17/2022
Today we will be previewing two games, both on the NCAA Tournament slate.
CBB:
Indiana @ St. Mary’s
On the first day of the round of 64, the Indiana Hoosiers (21-13) take on the St. Mary’s Gaels (27-5) in the East Region. The 12th seeded Hoosiers come into this game off a win in the First Four over Wyoming, 66-58. Indiana star player Trayce Jackson-Davis dropped 29 points and 9 rebounds in the win. 5th seeded St. Mary’s is coming off a 82-69 loss in the WCC championship. They rely heavily on their defense, allowing only 59.6 points per game this season. The winner of this game will take on the winner of UCLA-Akron.
Vermont @ Arkansas
After a run to the Elite Eight last year, Arkansas looks to make another deep run this March. The Razorbacks (25-8) come into this game as the 4th seed, while the Vermont Catamounts (28-5) are the 13th seed. Vermont, is coming off of an 82-43 beat down of UMBC in the American East Championship, while Arkansas is coming off of a 82-64 loss to Texas A&M in the SEC semifinal. The Catamounts are led by two-time American East player of the year Ryan Davis who averages 17.2 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. Arkansas leading scorer, point guard JD Notae, is averaging 18.4 points per game this season. The winner of this game will face No. 5 seed UConn or No. 12 New Mexico State on Saturday.
