Betting Previews: 4/2/2022
Today we will be previewing two games, both on the NCAA Tournament slate.
Final Four:
Villanova @ Kansas
The No. 2 seeded Villanova Wildcats (30-7) will be without star Justin Moore when they take on the No. 1 seeded Kansas Jayhawks (32-6) in the first Final Four game of the day. Both of these teams carry a 9-game winning streak into this matchup. Villanova is most recently coming off of a win in the Elite Eight over Houston 50-44. The Wildcats defense held Houston to only 1-17 on three-point attempts in that matchup. Kansas is fresh off a rout of Miami, 76-50 in the Midwest Region. While being down 35-29 at half, the Jayhawks used a 47-15 run throughout the second half to secure the win. Last time these two storied programs met, was in the 2018 Final Four, when Villanova easily defeated Kansas 95-79 before going on to win the national title.
North Carolina @ Duke
For the first time in the history of the most storied rivalry in college the Duke Blue Devils (32-6) will meet the North Carolina Tar Heels (28-9) in the NCAA Tournament. With Coach K on the brink of retirement, North Carolina is looking to yet again spoil another potentially historic moment for him. These two teams are 1-1 against each other this season, with Duke winning @ North Carolina 87-67, and The Tar Heels defeating the Blue Devils 94-81 in Coach K’s last home game at Cameron Indoor Arena. Both teams are coming off hot stretches in the tournament, with Duke recently defeating Arkansas 78-69 and North Carolina winning handily over cinderella story St. Peters 69-49. Both of these teams lost to Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament but now face off for the first time ever in post season play after dominant tournament performances for the Blue Bloods.
