Betting Previews: 4/29/2022

Today we will be previewing two games, one on the NBA Playoff slate and one on the MLB slate.

NBA Playoffs:

Grizzlies @ Timberwolves

The Memphis Grizzlies will look to close the series out tonight when they travel back to the Target Center to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 6. Each team traded a win and a loss at home in games 1-4 before going back to Memphis for game 5. Game 5 featured a back and forth battle with Anthony Edwards hitting a game-tying fade away three with 4 seconds left, before Ja Morant drove into the paint to hit a game winning layup for Memphis, securing the 111-109 victory. This win put the Grizzlies up 3-2 in the series coming into game 6 tonight. Ja Morant recorded 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists in the game while Karl Anthony-Towns had 28 points to go along with 12 rebounds. This pivotal Game 6 matchup is scheduled for 9 PM Eastern Time.

MLB:

Mariners @ Marlins

The Seattle Mariners (11-8) will travel to South Beach today to take on the Miami Marlins (10-8) in game 1 of a 3 game set. After a sweep of the Royals, the Mariners are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Rays, in which they lost the last two games of the series by a one-run margin. Despite the series loss they are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Marlins on the other hand are coming off a sweep of the Nationals and prior to that a 2-1 series win over defending champion Braves. They are 5-0 in their last 5 games. Seattle will start Matt Brash on the bump while Miami will counter with Elieser Hernandez. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 PM Eastern Time.
