MLB:

Marlins @ Padres

The Miami Marlins (12-12) will travel across the country to take on the San Diego Padres (16-9) in game 1 of a 4 game set. After rattling off 7 wins in a row, Miami has hit a bump in the road, dropping 4 straight. They most recently were swept by the Diamondbacks, losing all 3 games by one run. San Diego has went 2-2 in their last 4 matchups against the Pirates and Guardians. The Marlins will start Jesús Luzardo, while the Padres will start Nick Martinez. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 PM Eastern Time.

Rays @ Mariners

The Tampa Bay Rays (15-10) will travel to T-Mobile Park tonight to take on the Seattle Mariners (12-13). Tampa Bay is coming off a 3-game sweep over the Athletics, which they won every game by at least 3 runs. Seattle is coming off a sweep in the other direction against the Astros, losing 3 straight games in Houston. This 4 game series will be the first played this season by either team. The Mariners will start Robbie Ray tonight, while the Rays will counter with Shane McClanahan. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 PM Eastern Time.
