Game Previews: 6/9/2022
Today we will be previewing two games, one on the NHL Playoff slate and another on the MLB slate.
NHL Playoffs:
Lightning @ Rangers (Series tied 2-2)
Following each team winning both of their matchups at home, the Tampa Bay Lightning will travel back to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers in a pivotal game 5. The Rangers have won their last 8 home playoff games at the Garden, tying a franchise record from 1939. It’s the longest home winning streak in the playoffs since the Kings in 2013. Nikita Kucherov has scored 7 goals for Tampa Bay in the 2022 playoffs, and 1 in each of their last 3 games. Puck will drop at 8 PM Eastern Time for game 5 in New York tonight.
Dodgers @ White Sox
With the series tied at 1-1, The Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox will determine a series winner tonight at Guaranteed Rate Field. Both game 1 and 2 of the series have been low scoring affairs, with the Sox winning 4-0 in game 1 and the Dodgers winning 4-1 yesterday in game 2. Tonight looks to be another pitchers duel as LA will go with Tyler Anderson (7-0 with a 2.59 ERA, 56 Ks to 6 BBs) and the White Sox will counter with Dylan Cease (4-2 with a 3.39 ERA, 81 Ks to 30 BBs). First pitch will take place at 2:10 Eastern Time on the South Side of Chicago.
